1. What is SCADA? And what is power SCADA?

SCADA is a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition, A system used to monitor or supervise and control remote located devices/equipment through an OS based application. Power SCADA is a SCADA system used for monitoring power/energy consumptions and controlling the power sources, Contactors, Power equipment etc.

2. What is SCADA smart Panel?

SCADA Smart Panel is a wall mounted panel consisting of Controller, Contactors, MCBs, Energy meters and RS485 converter. This controller placed in smart panel collects all the information and updates data to SCADA placed in Data centre Jaipur through Rajnet.
 
3. What is the function of SCADA provided for ASK?
 
SCADA system provided for Atal Seva Kendra Project is a basically SCADA based smart panel for backup power supply for Atal Seva Kendra at Panchayat level in Rajasthan. This system enables the proper usage of green energy (Solar) and also provides the Solar and Discom power consumption to Data Centre Jaipur. The basic purpose of this system is to know the availability of power (Solar and Discom) at ASK and to provide the solar power to IT equipment such as Rajnet, Emitra, Emitra Plus etc.
 
4. Power Supply selection cab be selected from SDC Jaipur?
 
Yes, Supply source can be selected from Jaipur Data Centre by releasing Change over command.
 
5. What are the main outputs connected from Smart panel at ASK?
 
The major outputs connected to Smart Panel are Emitra PC Socket, Emitra Plus Kiosk, Emitra room light and Fan and 1KVA UPS.
 
6. What are the inputs connected to Smart Panel at ASK?
 
Three Power inputs connected to Smart Panel are, Discom supply, Solar Supply and 1KVA UPS supply. Other than these three power inputs one serial cable connected from Solar PCU for Modbus serial communication and one CAT6 (LAN) cable connected from Rajnet IO port for SCADA communication.
 
7. How to know that smart panel is on which supply?
 
There are two lamps provided on door of the smart panel. Red is for discom supply and Green indicates smart panel is on solar supply.
 
8. What are the MCBs should be kept ON for functioning of Smart panel?
 
MCB-Q1 (Solar Supply), MCB-Q2 (Discom Supply) and MCB-Q11 (1KVA UPS supply) are the input 2 pole MCBs should always kept in ON position. The output MCBs Q3 to Q10 are single pole MCBs should be kept in ON state based on output requirements.
 
9. Where CAT6 (LAN) Cable from smart panel should be connected?
 
CAT6 (LAN) Cable should be connected to nearest LAN IO port installed by Rajnet. Disconnecting this cable will make the smart panel to lose the communication with DATA centre at Jaipur.
